It is an extremely relaxing trance-like state of awareness. That feeling of being between awake and asleep will give you a very good idea of what hypnosis feels like. It's said we go into trance, on average, once every 7 minutes a day. You can bring yourself out of this state anytime you like and you are certainly in full control. It is actually a very normal everyday state of being.
Hypnosis still remains one of the most fascinating phenomena of the human mind. In this state of heightened relaxation your conscience mind, the analytical part that is reading and understanding this text right now can be bypassed for direct access to your subconscious mind, that part of you with vast capability. The part that is working behind the scenes on multiple tasks constantly to protect you.
